DB Sharp and Sons have a vast experience in Design and Build projects, and were excited to be involved in the construction of 62 Station Road, Steeple Morden. The project involved erecting a Timber Frame from French Oak to which SIP panels were mounted and then Clad in Cedar. The roof was constructed from traditional slate tiles with the centre section being rolled Zinc panels. The property benefited from under floor heating on the ground and first floor, as well as a heat recovery system, all of which ran via a ground source heat pump to produce maximum efficiency. Externally an Oak timber frame garage was built with internal mezzanine floor to maximise use of space. Internally the property had some interesting features, the floor laid was Polished Italian Marble, the kitchen work surfaces were polished concrete. A suspended Gyro Focus Fireplace was fitted to the living room while the kitchen was home to its own log burner. A fantastic project to work on which upon completion left a very satisfied customer with a practical modern living space we could all be proud of. .
